Overview

South India has a long way to go in terms of rich national parks and wildlife sanctuaries that are suitable for wildlife tourism in India. Whether it's the UNESCO-listed Western Ghats or the thick and majestic Nilgiris, each location is breathtaking. The woods in the south are rich in flora and fauna, with many eco-systems, and are home to many significant creatures such as tigers and elephants. There are several species that are unique to the area that coexist. There are also various wildlife places in South India that are gifted with some exhilarating treks that not only aid wildlife enthusiasts on their quest but also supply adrenaline seekers with enough excitement.

Day 01: Arrival at Bangalore

When you arrive in Bangalore, the state capital of Karnataka, we will accompany you to your pre-booked accommodation. Begin sightseeing in Bengaluru after lunch. You'll visit the Bangalore Palace, the ISKCON temple, Lal Bagh, and Vidhana Soudha, among other tourist sites. Head towards the motel to rest for the night.

Day 02: Bangalore - Bennarghatta - Bangalore

After breakfast on day 2, go for Bannerghatta National Park, a major tourist site that is also one of the richest natural zoological reserves. Various animal species such as Bengal tigers, leopards, bears, and more can be seen on your jungle tour. Return to Bangalore in the late evening for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Bangalore – Mysore

After finishing your breakfast, set out on your adventure to Mysore, sometimes known as the "Scotland of India." Check into the hotel as you arrive. Get ready to go sightseeing once you've freshened up. You'll be covering Mysore Palace. The Chamundi Hill will be the next stop on the itinerary. The evening is set up for touring Brindavan Gardens. The location is stunning, with multicoloured lighting and musical fountains. Stay for the night.

Day 04 : Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore

On the fourth day of the itinerary, depart after breakfast for a day trip to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. It is known as Karnataka's Paksi Kashi and is the state's largest bird sanctuary, spanning over 40 kilometres. Enjoy bird viewing in the park, where you may see up to 170 avifauna species, including the Black-headed Ibis, Lesser Whistling Duck, Indian Shag, and Streak-throated Swallows, to mention a few. Return to Mysore and spend the night.

Day 05: Mysore - Nagarhole

Continue to Nagarhole National Park after breakfast on the 5th day. It is also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park and is located to the south of Mysore. Check in the rainforest lodge upon arrival. Enjoy post-lunch jungle safari to the tiger-, Indian- and Gaur-based National Park, and significant numbers of Asian elephants. The lodge for overnight.

Day 06: Nagarhole

The sixth day will also be organised in the morning and evening for a wildlife safari in the national park. In one of the country's most renowned national parks you may discover a vast assortment of species, including Russell's vipers, wine snake, Indian pythons, yellow-legged green palm tree, painted broom quail etc. Stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 07: Nagarhole - Bandipur

Today you will visit Bandipur in the direction of Nagarhole. Check at the forest lodge after you get to Bandipur National Park, one of the favourite national parks. Enter a safari for wildlife, which shows a wide range of species. Stay in the forest lodge overnight.

Day 8: Bandipur

Enjoy a nature stroll in the park early in the morning with a glimpse of the beautiful foliage. The day is free for all your activities. Go to the Bandipur National Park in the evening for a wildlife safari. You can observe species of animals such as Indian elephants, gourds, tigers, sloth bears, grey languors, gigantic squirrels from the Indians. Stay at the lodge overnight.

Day 9: Bandipur - Ooty

After a pleasant breakfast, start your road trip to Ooty. Upon arriving at Ooty, head to your accommodation. You will also visit the Botanical Gardens and Doddabetta Park after lunch. Later, enjoy your leisure tour around the local market and tea estates. Stay in the hotel for the night.

Day 10: Ooty

A day trip into Toda Tribal community takes place on this day.  You would want to see the tribal people's day-to-day activities, customs, mannerisms, food, way of life, etc. Treat the indigenous folks to a little chit-chat. The dwellings of Toda Huts are quite renowned for a distinctive type of décor. For an overnight stay back to Ooty.

Day 11: Ooty - Bangalore

After breakfast, we will drop you at the Bangalore airport from where you can take your flight for your onward journey.
