Day 01: Chennai (By Air)
Our agent will meet you at the Chennai airport and transport you to your hotel in Chennai.
Later, prepare to see some lovely locations such as Kapeleeswar Temple and Fort St. George (the oldest fort in Chennai). Following that, visit Santhome Cathedral, the National Art Gallery, St. Mary's Church, Anna Zoological Park, Birla Planetarium, and People's Park. Stop by Kalakshetra and the Theosophical Society for a while. Later in the evening, head to the well-known Marina Beach (the second largest in the world). Arrive at the hotel. Stay in Chennai for the night.
Day 02: Chennai – Tirupati (135 Kms / 3 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Tirupati, check into the hotel, and then visit the Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala. This Temple is a famous Vaishnavite temple in Tirumala, dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara, a Vishnu avatar who is said to have arrived here to save mankind from the trials and tribulations of the Kali Yuga. Tirumala Shrine, Tirupati Temple, and Tirupati Balaji Temple are some of the various names for the temple. Lord Venkateswara is also known as Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa. Later, visit Padmavathi Temple, where the Goddess Lakshmi is said to have been born as Alamelu to Akasha Raja, the monarch of this region, and married Venkateshwara of Tirupati. After twelve years of severe penance, Goddess Lakshmi granted Lord Venkateswara darshan on a crimson Lotus blossom (Padma in Sanskrit) near Alamelu mangapuram. After the visit, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Tirupati – Kanchipuram – Tiruvannamalai (220 km/ 4-5 hrs)
Drive to Vellore following breakfast. Visit Kamatchi Amman Temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple, Vaikunda Perumal Temple, and Kailasanathar Temple on your way to Kanchipuram. Purchase Kanchipuram sarees from well-known markets as well.
As soon as you reach Tiruvannamalai, check into the hotel. Later, go to the Arunachaleshwara Temple and the Virupaksha Cave. Stay at the hotel for the night.
Day 04: Tiruvannamalai – Dharmapuri – Chidambaram (70 km/ 2 hrs)
After breakfast, travel to Dharmapuri and tour the hamlet of Alliyur. Then we will drive to Chidambaram. Check into the hotel late in the evening and stay the night.
Day 05: Chidambaram Sightseeing
Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and then travel to Thillai Nataraja Temple, followed by Thillai Kali Amman Temple, Tirunallurpperumanam Temple, and Pitchavaram Backwater. Have a pleasant evening at the hotel.
Day 06: Chidambaram - Tanjore (110 km/ 2½ hrs)
Hello and good morning! Enjoy a South Indian breakfast at the hotel before departing for Tanjore to see Brihadeswara Temple and Art Gallery, Swami Malai Temple, Gangaikonda Cholapuram, and Alangudi Temple. A pleasant stay at the hotel in Tanjore for the night.
Day 07: Tanjore – Trichy (65 km/ 1½ hrs)
Good morning, after breakfast, we'll be driving to Trichy today. When you arrive in Trichy, check into the hotel, rest, and prepare for an afternoon tour to the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple and Rock Fort. A 5-kilometer trip from Trichy will take you to the island of Srirangam. The temple and fort are both located here. This temple contains 22 gopurams (gateways with pyramid-like architecture) within its seven walls, including the tallest one (72 m high 13 storied). Stay in the hotel in Trichy for a pleasant night.
Day 08: Trichy – Palani – Madurai (140 km/ 4 hrs)
Today we travel to Palani, so after you have your breakfast get ready for your next tour location. Arrive there and visit the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy temple before continuing on to Madurai. Check into the hotel for the night.
Day 09: Madurai sightseeing
Prepare to visit Sri Meenakshi Temple and Thiruparankundram Temple after breakfast.
Madurai, known as the "Athens of the East," is a temple-filled city that dates back four centuries. The city is named after the nectar (Mathuram) that dripped from Shiva's hair when he arrived to thank its inhabitants for building him a shrine. Temple of Meenakshi-Sundareswara with 12 gopurams (gateways to the temple with pyramid-like structures). Four of the temple's highest gopurams stand on the temple's exterior walls. Over 1500 sculptures may be found on the 48.8 m high gopuram to the south of the temple. The carved pillars at the Ashta Shakthi Mandapam within the Meenakshi temple narrate the storey of the Madurai princess and her wedding to Lord Shiva.
Day 10: Madurai – Rameshwaram (180 km/ 4 – 5 hrs)
We drive from Madurai to Rameshwaran in the morning. Check into your accommodation and get some rest. Stay the night at Rameshwaram at your hotel.
Day 11: Full day visit of temples (Rameshwaram)
After breakfast, head on down to the Ramanatha Swamy Temple at Rameshwaram, a major Hindu pilgrimage site. Lord Rama is said to have built three Lingams here and worshipped Lord Shiva. Aside from that, Rameshwaram has a number of temples to visit. Later this evening, explore Pamban Bridge and Dhanushkodi Beach. Afterwards, return to the hotel and spend the night at Rameshwaram.
Day 12: Rameshwaram – Madurai (180 km/ 4 – 5 hrs)
