Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Gangtok

Welcome! As soon as you arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will meet our tour agent who will accompany you to Gangtok.

Gangtok, located at an elevation of 1650 metres above sea level, provides breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Mount Kanchenjunga can be seen from this highland settlement. The location has a really peaceful atmosphere. When you arrive in Gangtok, complete the hotel check-in procedures. Take some time to unwind. Later in the evening, you can relax. You are free to wander down Mall Road or go shopping at the renowned retail malls.

Day 02: Gangtok Sightseeing

After a sumptuous breakfast on the second day of Gangtok sightseeing, you will embark on a city exploration. Gangtok is well-known for its monasteries, scenic beauty, and pleasant weather. Gangtok, one of the most popular tourist destinations in north-east India, has a number of viewpoints from which to enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape. Several types of butterflies, orchids, and rhododendrons can be found in the hill town. Check into the hotel as soon as you arrive. Later, depart for Gangtok sightseeing. Visit Gangtok's most popular tourist attractions, such as Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall and Flower Show.

The Flower Exhibition Center, located near Ride Park and White Hall, hosts a year-round flower show. The exhibition area is a small greenhouse with orchids, roses, gerberas, carnations, celosia, and other colourful flowers on display (according to season). Don't forget to take pictures here. After the excursion, return to the hotel for a lavish dinner. In Gangtok, spend the night at the  hotel.

Day 03: Full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

After breakfast, depart for Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir for a day trip.

Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet), also known as Changu Lake, is a glacial lake that receives its water from the snow-covered mountains that surround it. The sight is breathtaking, and it is a popular stop for Brahminy ducks and other migratory birds. Because it is a popular tourist destination, there are a few shops selling trinkets and Yak cheese. Yak rides are also available for exploring the breathtaking scenery. Admire the beautiful scenery and pay a visit to Lord Shiva's temple on the Lake's shores.

After that, make your way to the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial War Temple, which is about 20 kilometres away. The temple is located near Jelep Pass at a height of 13000 feet. This shrine honours Harbhajan Singh, a soldier from the 23rd Punjab Regiment who gave his life in the Indo-China War of 1962. It is said that after his death in battle, the soldier appeared to one of his friends in his dreams and asked him to build a memorial for him. For the same reason, the Indian Army erected this memorial in honour of this soldier's sacrifice. After a while, this war memorial became a shrine. The temple, which was built in 1983 in this martyr's bunker, contains his pictures, dresses, and other personal belongings. A small wishing pond is nearby, where you can make a wish by throwing a coin into it. You can also travel 20 kilometres to Nathula Pass, which is located in the Republic of China. It is optional to go to Nathula Pass. Mall Road can be visited in the evening if time permits.

The evening is yours to do as you please. In Gangtok, spend the night.

Note: The Nathula Pass (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) is optional and can be obtained through direct payment (INR 5500 -7500).

Day 04: Gangtok – Lachung Transfer

After breakfast on the fourth day of your Sikkim tour package. We make our way to the northwestern region of Sikkim. Check out of Gangtok around 10:00 a.m. and start driving to Lachung. Lachung, located at an elevation of 9600 feet above sea level, is a beautiful village surrounded by lush peaks that create an enchanting view for tourists. Cascading waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, glistening streams, and a pleasant climate entice visitors from all over. Orchards of apricots, apples, and peaches are an added bonus. What you should look for are blankets and woven rugs.

Stop at a few beautiful spots along the way. Tashi Viewpoint- for mesmerising views of the landscape, Kabi Lungstok- a popular historical town with a Buddhist monastery, Naga Waterfalls- take some photos here. Later, travel to Chungthang to see the meeting point of the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu, and then to the Twin Waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls for some memorable moments. Namok is a great place to eat lunch (at your own cost).

Arrival at Lachung in the evening. Complete the hotel check-in procedures. Take a moment to unwind. Dinner and an overnight stay are included.

Day 05: Sightseeing at Yumthang and transfer to Gangtok (128 km- 6 hours)

On the fifth day of your tour, after breakfast, prepare for a day trip to the beautiful Yumthang valley, which sits at an elevation of 11,800 feet above sea level. You come across a popular hot spring along the way that is known for having water with medicinal properties that can cure skin diseases. Later, proceed to Yumthang. This valley, also known as the 'Valley of Flowers,' is particularly lovely in the spring, when colourful flowers such as Alpine, Primulas, Rhododendrons, and others are in full bloom. During the winter, the valley is blanketed in white snow. Enjoy the beautiful weather and the breathtaking scenery.

In the afternoon, return to Gangtok, which is 128 kilometres away and will take nearly 6 hours to reach. When you arrive, check into your hotel and rest. Dinner and an overnight stay in Gangtok at a hotel.

Day 06: Gangtok Transfer to Darjeeling

After a hearty breakfast on the sixth day of your Sikkim Darjeeling Tour, you will depart from Gangtok for Darjeeling. Darjeeling is 99 kilometres from Gangtok and will take 4 to 5 hours to reach. Darjeeling, located at an elevation of 7100 metres above sea level, offers breathtaking views of lush tea gardens and the mighty Himalayas. This hill town is also home to the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site affectionately known as the toy train. The location has a very peaceful atmosphere.

When you arrive in Darjeeling, complete the hotel check-in procedures. Take some time to unwind. Later in the evening, you can relax. You are free to stroll down Mall Road or go shopping at the popular shopping malls.

In the evening, return to the hotel for a delicious dinner. Stay at the hotel in Darjeeling for the night.

Day 07: Darjeeling Sightseeing Tour

An early morning trek to Tiger Hill, 11 km away, to see a great dawn (subject to clear weather). Stop at the Ghoom Monastery, the War Memorial, and the Batasia Loop on your way back. After breakfast, return to the hotel. Visit the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Ropeway, the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, the Tea Estate, the Natural History Museum, and the Peace Pagoda after breakfast.

On top of Tiger Hill, Kanchendzonga Peak offers an unbeatable sunrise view. When the first sunlight illuminates the Peak, the view is breathtaking. The hill is bordered by the dense oak forest, making a stunning visual. The morning sun rises as an orange ball behind the hills.

Located on the slopes of Jalaphar Hill, the Peace Pagoda was built in November of 1992. Here, the four-faced Buddha manifests. The immense, golden-colored buddhas are carved into the walls. As you climb the stairs, enjoy nice views of the surroundings. Visit the structure with Parikrama and locate Buddha statues in various postures.

On your way to the Rangit Valley, you will have wonderful views of verdant tea plantations and snow-covered peaks. Wander through the beautiful tea gardens of Darjeeling and enjoy the wonderful aroma.

The Gorkha War Memorial is an honour to those soldiers from the Gorkha Regiment who sacrificed their lives in battles. The toy train also circles the loop while offering a view of the landscape from a high point. Enjoy yourself! Stay overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 07: Transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (68 km) / Bagdogra Airport (69 km) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (62 km)

 Last Day of the tour, have a delicious breakfast. Get an assisted transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport, or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand to continue your journey ahead.
